Detroit-based Happy’s Pizza is teaming up with Elevate Detroit to feed approximately 200 of Detroit’s homeless men, women and children on Saturday Sept. 5. The cookout event will be held at 1 p.m. at 3000 Fort St. in Detroit (it’s National Cheese Pizza Day).

“There are people in Detroit struggling to find shelter and food,” said Happy’s Pizza CEO John Moran. “If we can provide a meal, a smile, and some encouragement to someone in need … it’s a good day for all of us.”
